Motorsport Australia Women’s Introduction to Motorsport

Presented by the WA Sporting Car Club in conjunction with Motorsport Australia, the Motorsport Australia Women’s Introduction to Motorsport is a hands-on entry point for those looking to get behind the wheel and build confidence in a structured, supportive environment. Whether you’re completely new or keen to refine the basics, the program is designed to develop fundamental driving skills while introducing the core principles of performance and control.

The day combines a guided theory session with practical on-track exercises, covering driving position, vehicle dynamics, braking and car control. Participants will work through activities including slalom, swerving and Motorkhana, finishing with competitive Motorkhana runs — offering a clear pathway into motorsport in a safe and approachable setting.

EVENT DETAILS:

  • Theory session which will go through driving position, vehicle dynamics, track safety
  • Braking, swerving, slalom, Motorkhana and competitive Motorkhana runs


DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Long pants, long sleeves, enclosed shoes
  • Helmet with a minimum of a AS1698 compliance sticker (helmet’s available for hire on the day for $20 if required)
  • Minimum driver age 14
  • Your own vehicle that is mechanically sound and capable of safely undertaking the activities and road registered.
  • EV and Hybrid vehicles are not permitted to enter.


Entry Fee is $140 inclusive of the introductory license.
