Improving our Facility – Capital Works Update

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide WA’s leading motorsport experience, we’ve been busy behind the scenes making a number of facility upgrades. In addition to the usual day-to-day maintenance, contracts have been agreed for the following major items:

• Infield lift upgrade – the Club has successfully sought and received funding from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries to allow a complete repair and upgrade of the faulty infield lift. This has been an important priority for the club to ensure all members and visitors have access and can enjoy motorsport at the venue. Our current expectation is that all work will be completed by 31 December 2024.

• Bridge re-paint – work on the stairs and landings was completed before the Supercars Perth SuperSprint event. The remainder of the work including the footbridge will be completed during the off-season.

• McCrackan House Level 1 – work has been completed on both the East and West outdoor areas of the Clubhouse. The weather-damaged floor material is being replaced in both areas and the drainage improved. This work is ongoing and aims to prevent rain water from dripping onto the members seating area located below the balconies, as best as possible.

• Ongoing maintenance and minor works – minor repairs have been carried out on the infield garages along with asphalt repairs to the outer edge of Turn 6 and patching up various potholes within the pits.

Thanks to our dedicated Capital Works Sub Committee, staff and groundsmen for their ongoing work and support.
