SUMMARY:The Wanneroo Classic
DESCRIPTION:The Wanneroo Classic transforms MotorMall Wanneroo Raceway into a living showcase of Australian racing heritage — not frozen in time, but moving, breathing and sounding exactly as it should. This is not a race meeting. It’s an experience built around access, atmosphere and the cars that shaped the sport.\nPARADE LAPS\nThis is your opportunity to take your pride and joy out onto the circuit and enjoy the moment. No pressure. No lap times.\nCOACHING LAPS\nCoaching Laps are for drivers who are ready to build confidence and improve their driving with guidance from experienced track coaches.\nSHOW AND SHINE\nBetween track sessions, the pace softens again. Jazz music fills the air, reinforcing the relaxed, unhurried feel of the day. This is a Sunday meant to be wandered through — part motorsport event, part social gathering, part celebration of craftsmanship and history.\nThe Wanneroo Classic only truly comes alive when the right cars take part.\nClassic and veteran car owners are equally central to the event. Whether your car belongs on the Show and Shine lawn, where its details and story can be appreciated up close, or on track during parade laps, this is a chance to be part of the day rather than watching it from the fence.\nNo lap times. No trophies.\nJust history, atmosphere and the shared understanding of why these cars still matter.\nIf you have a classic vehicle that deserves to be seen — this is your moment.\nBring the car. Bring the story. Let it take its place at MotorMall Wanneroo Raceway on Sunday 26 April 2026.\nGate Times\nParade Laps / Coaching Laps – 9am\nShow and Shine Entrants – 9.30am\nSpectators – 9.45am\nEntry / More Information\nVisit the official Wanneroo Classic page\n

SUMMARY:EGT Come and Try February AM
DESCRIPTION:For anyone who’s ever stood at the fence at Wanneroo Raceway thinking “I reckon I could do that”, the Come & Try Days are where that thought turns into reality.\nRun by the WA Sporting Car Club, in partnership with Electrical Group Training, the Start Line – Come & Try sessions are designed as a genuine entry point into motorsport. No pressure. No ego. Just learning how cars behave on track, building confidence, and finding out whether motorsport is for you.\nThis isn’t about lap records or trophies. It’s about understanding vehicle control, feeling what grip really is, and safely getting your first taste of proper circuit driving.\nWhat happens on a Come & Try Day?\nEach session runs for around three hours and combines infield vehicle handling exercises with laps on the main circuit. You won’t be thrown in the deep end either — one of WASCC’s experienced instructors sits in the passenger seat, guiding you through every step.\nThe format is simple and effective:\n\nStart on the infield, learning braking, steering and balance\nBuild confidence through structured exercises\nApply those skills on the full circuit\nReal-time feedback from an instructor who’s there to help, not judge\n\nIt’s a relaxed environment, but everything is run professionally and safely — exactly what you want when you’re starting out.\nWho is it for?\nHonestly? Anyone curious about motorsport.\nThese days are ideal if you:\n\nWant to see what motorsport is actually like before committing further\nAre new to track driving and want proper instruction\nHave a road car and want to drive it in a controlled environment\nAre considering future sprint, regularity or racing competition\nYou don’t need a race car, prior experience or special preparation beyond the basics.\n\nWhat you’ll need\n\nParticipants use their own vehicle, provided it’s mechanically sound and safe to run on track. Safety gear and clothing requirements are straightforward:\nHelmet with AS1698 compliance (hire helmets available)\nLong-sleeve shirt (preferably cotton)\nLong pants to the ankle\nEnclosed footwear\nMinimum age: 14 years\n\nAfter registration, participants receive full preparation details so there are no surprises on the day.\nLicences and eligibility\nCome & Try Days operate under a Motorsport Australia Introductory Licence, which allows newcomers to get on track without holding a full competition licence. It’s worth noting this licence can only be used once every 12 months per person. If you’ve already used one at another event, a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence will be required.\nWhy it matters\nMotorsport can look intimidating from the outside. Big rigs. Big budgets. Big personalities. The Come & Try Days strip all of that back.\nThey’re about:\n\nLearning safely\nBuilding confidence\nUnderstanding yourself and your car\nDeciding your next step — or simply enjoying the experience\n\nPlenty of WASCC competitors started right here. Plenty more just discovered a new appreciation for driving.\nHow to get involved\nEvent dates are listed on the WASCC calendar, and spots are limited to maintain quality instruction and track time.\nRegister here: https://wascc.com.au/start-line/come-and-try-event-bookings/ ( https://wascc.com.au/start-line/come-and-try-event-bookings/ )\nIf you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to drive a circuit properly — this is where motorsport starts.\n

SUMMARY:DriftWest January Drift Day
DESCRIPTION:Smoke, noise and proper grassroots drifting — DriftWest practice days and nights are where WA drift cars come to be driven, not polished.\nThese events are all about seat time and access. No trophies, no ego, just drivers pushing themselves, mates helping mates in the pits, and cars getting absolutely worked around Wanneroo Raceway.\nDrivers\nNew to DriftWest? No stress.\nYour first DriftWest event does not require WA Sporting Car Club membership — you just need to be a member of a Motorsport Australia–affiliated club to get on track and meet a few other criteria regarding your car and licensing. Our DriftWest site has all the details!\nIf you’re hooked (you will be), WASCC membership is required after your first event to keep drifting with DriftWest.\nThere are serious savings for those committing to the year:\n\nMemberships start from $225/year (includes one free drift practice)\nFull year of DriftWest drifting from $660\n12 events including Jack’s Hill\nIndividual entries would cost $1,380\n\nMore seat time. Less hassle. Proper value.\nSpectators\nDriftWest is built to be watched up close.\n\n$10 per car\nPark near the track\nWalk the pits\nGet right amongst the cars, drivers and action\n\nNo grandstands. No velvet ropes. Just raw drifting, noise, smoke and atmosphere.\nWant In?\nFull event details, passenger information, memberships and benefits are available at: https://wascc.com.au/membership\nCome for a look. SUMMARY:DriftWest April Drift Night
Have a skid. Lock in the year.\nWe’ll see you sideways in 2026.\n
